EB-3 is the third-preference employment-based green card category, with three subcategories: Professional Workers, for positions requiring a U.S. bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent as a normal entry requirement; Skilled Workers, for positions requiring at least two years of training or experience; and Other Workers, for positions requiring less than two years of training, which historically carries longer visa-bulletin wait times.
The process runs through PERM labor certification, followed by the I-140 petition and, once a visa number is current, adjustment of status or consular processing.
